About my practice I meet with individuals, couples, and families in a small outpatient group setting that is relaxing and comfortable, with tasteful furnishings. Front office staff will make every effort to gather information about your insurance benefits and your share of costs before you arrive, so that there won't be confusion and stress as you step in. The initial session will be devoted to gaining an understanding of your presenting concerns as well as significant experiences from your personal and family history. We'll discuss an initial plan that suits your interests and goals. If you desire faith-based care, we'll discuss how to integrate Christian principles into your counseling process in a manner that matches your comfort level. We will also discuss whether you might benefit from a coordination of your care with a physician, dietitian, teacher, mentor, pastor, or parish nurse. Each aspect your counseling is a collaborative process, with you and your healing as the central focus of our decisions and approach to care. You can expect me to be attentive, effective, and kind even as I also challenge you to think differently and make new choices that will foster your growth. We'll take your concerns seriously but also make room to laugh together when appropriate. Let's work hard as we bring you to a place of greater joy and fulfillment --- thriving --- in your life and relationships. I'm "in network" with numerous insurance networks, including Anthem Blue Cross, Optum (UHC,) UMR, Aetna, WEA Trust, WPS, Trilogy, and Beacon (Value Options.) I will also submit your claims to other plans out-of-network or arrange for you to Self-Pay if you prefer.
